Every angler is always on the lookout for the next best way to organize their tackle. Being a Type-A angler myself, I am no different and maybe even a little worse.
In my main tackle compartment as well as my driver-side rod box, I had previously installed a version of a tackle system which required epoxy on the back of a small plastic square. This small square then held up a small rod arm which had clips on it. Needless to say, the system proceeded to fail me over the next 2 years as the small squares continually came unglued and fell into the storage bins.
This year, I have found something better. I decided to install the T&H Marine Tackle Titan and the Cook’s Go-To System. The Tackle Titan has magnets on the bottom of it which easily grab onto the smallest of hooks or the largest of pliers, scales, etc. Cook’s System can also hang baits, however, I will be using it to hang my plastic bags that I may be using for the day.
Thus far, my only complaint is that Cook’s Go-To System said it came with 12 rings. In reality, it only came with 10. Other than this, I have experimented with both systems for the past few weeks and can already tell I am going to love them. Particularly, the Tackle Titan is super handy for hanging my scissors, something which always seems to go missing right when I need them. The same goes for pliers.
But, enough talking. Check out the video below to see what these systems look like and how I installed them. I also talk a little about my new favorite toy, the Minn Kota Ultrex. I have only used this bad girl on 4 fishing trips and can already tell it will drastically change the way I fish. It is a complete game-changer.
